Grove Lodge is a superb 5 bedroom chalet style detached property situated within the southern coastal town of Gosport, Hampshire, a seaside peninsular with over 24 miles of waterfront access. The house has been refurbished and furnished to a good 4* star standard and is within a 5 minute drive of Stokes Bay beach and a short walk into town where the ferry can take you for a short 4 minute ride to Portsmouth and the wonderful Gunwharf Quays.

Three of the lovely double bedrooms have superior quality king size five foot double beds which can separate to create 2 singles, the fourth a four foot double bed and the fifth a single bed. All beds are made up with crisp white cotton linen and fresh white towels prior to our guests arrival. Each 1st floor bedroom has the option of additional sleeping if required in comfy beds, plus there is a double and single ground floor bedroom for those that do not fancy the stairs. The property can sleep up to 13 guests in the bedrooms, plus the 3 upstairs bedrooms can comfortably accommodate children’s cots on request, that can be supplied at no extra cost.

The property boasts three high spec bathrooms with the master bedroom accommodating a generous sized en-suite with a large corner bath and separate shower cubicle. The main communal 1st floor bathroom has a bath and separate shower and the ground floor double bedroom has an en-suite shower room. Plus there is a ground floor cloakroom toilet.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and dishwasher and is situated adjacent to the open plan dining room which is home to a large 12 seater dining table. When not used for dining this table converts to a table tennis or pool table to keep young and old amused for hours. The lounge is off the main centre hallway accommodating a large corner sofa plus a separate smaller sofa and a smart flat screen TV.

Also off the kitchen is a comfortable sized conservatory with both the conservatory and the kitchen lead onto a lovely enclosed garden with mature shrubs and trees, plus a chalet style wooden summerhouse, a small child’s Wendy House and a large trampoline. You can also hire in a Hot Tub, if desired. (Conditions apply – please contact us for further details).

Our prices advertised on our website are for up to 13 guests with all linen and towels provided, which are changed weekly with a mid week maid service available on request. Child cots, highchairs and stairgates also available at no extra cost. (If cots are provided guests are asked to please bring their own child’s bedding).

Grove Lodge is pet friendly and welcomes 2-3 well behaved dogs at no extra cost (nor do we ask for additional deposits). We just kindly ask that any little ‘parcels’ they may leave are appropriately cleared away prior to departure.

Prior to your stay we are happy to help arrange any activities you may wish to organise and answer any questions regarding the local area or things to possibly do. We can also help organise catering options at the property be it an ‘a la carte’ meal for a special occasion, a hearty breakfast to see you through the day, afternoon tea, or an informal barbecue in the garden. All our properties are located within residential areas so we do have neighbours whom we need to consider. If you feel you could comfortably monitor noise levels (in particular out in the gardens and outside areas into the evenings) then we would love to have you stay and have had countless gatherings who have had a great time with us at our properties. If however you feel that it would not be possible to monitor noise levels, then we would recommend you consider something more rural, without neighbours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q - What time is check in/out?

A - Check in times are between 4 - 6pm (unless agreed otherwise) with checkout by 10am on day of departure. If an early check in or late departure time is required then we will do what we can to help, however if this is vital for your plans we recommend guests book the extra night.

Q - Are towels and linen provided?

A - Bedding, linen and bathroom towels are provided with linen and towels changed weekly. Additional bedding, linen and bathroom towels are available at the cost of £25 per set, if required.
